Alvina Pernot 2025 – New Releases

Alvina and her husband Phillipe have been quietly creating some of the most refined and complex wines in Puligny-Montrachet. The first vintage produced was 2018 and I remember tasting these in the winter of 2019 in the small cellar under their house in Puligny. They only produced a few cuvee then, a mixture of grapes from Alvina’s grandfather and must swaps with friends, but everything was energetic, mineral and full of terroir definition. Fast forward to 2026 and they not only have a fully custom built winery in Puligny, but they have also cemented themselves as one of the best new producers in the Cote de Beaune.
I am proud to say I have been importing every vintage they have produced and the 2025’s mark an important milestone for the domaine. As her grandfather and Uncle (Domaine Paul Pernot) look at retirement Alvina has started to increase her ownership of some of the villages best plots. After the 2024 harvest this became critically enough to reduce down the negociant bottlings to only choice plots they really believe in. Some of the new Domaine cuvee in 2025 are grand cru Batard-Montrachet and a number of very interesting village plots such as ‘Enseigneres’. The 2025’s are a success, earlier picking, low use of new oak, larger barrels and cool fermentation techniques give these wines at best and electric and expressive charachter, the different sites and terroir evident in each botlting. The warmer sites showing generous fruit with balance and the cooler more mineral a incredible lazer focus.
